Notes and other SHORT texts
I am a relatively prolific writer of informal notes. Here are some of the ones I went through the trouble of ing.
(N.B.: The files below carry the (approximate) date on which I last appreciably edited the text, which is not necessarily the last time I compiled the source. They might also reflect the misconceptions – as well as the horrendous skills – I might have had at the time of writing.)
- Unitary induction for locally compact groups — these notes originate from an informal talk I gave in March 2020 on parabolically induced representations, but in the end they “only” cover the more general topic of unitarily induced representations of locally compact groups.
- Simple surface singularities and ADE classification(s) — notes for an informal talk I gave in summer 2018 as an epilogue to an internal seminar on du Val singularities. (in German)
- Stokes’ Theorem is cool! — a very informal blogpost-type thing I wrote one night in 2018 while trying to come up with a problem for a first-year analysis class.
- The curious case of Congruence Subgroups — notes on congruence subgroups both in the “classical” and adèlic settings, with a view towards automorphic forms.
- The Jordan Curve Theorem — notes for a talk I gave in October 2016 at a seminar on the analysis and comparison of mathematical proofs.
There are more notes that I might someday take the time to and share. Until then, keep scrolling!

Languages
I first became passionate about foreign languages in high school. By the time I began my bachelor’s, I had C1-level certificates in both English and German. Since then, however, progress in learning new languages has been slow. I’ve reached an intermediate level in French and Spanish, but I don’t get much speaking practice. I’ve also dabbled in other languages (most recently, Chinese and Russian) but never got past a very early stage.
