Biography

Marlene Radl is a PhD candidate and a research assistant in the project “Populist Backlash, Democratic Backsliding, and the Crisis of the Rule of Law in the European Union (POPBACK)” (www.popback.org). She holds a MA in political science and a bachelor’s degree in developmental studies as well as in economics from the University of Vienna. In her master thesis she dealt with the interconnectedness of authoritarian shifts and gender political backlashes in Western democracies.
