Biography

Silvia Schröcker is a Junior Researcher at the Department of Political Science. She studied Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin (BA) and in Vienna (MA). 2011–2012, she worked as a research assistant at Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) in Berlin. 2013–2015, she was a student assistant in the Gender and Politics research group with Dr. Birgit Sauer at the Department of Political Science (University of Vienna). 2014 to 2015, she worked as a project researcher in the FWF-funded project “Affective Labor of Employment Agents. Transformation of Public Services in Austria, Germany and Switzerland”. In her master thesis, she dealt with feminist perspectives on processes of primitive accumulation. As part of the international research project Gender Equality Policy in Practice (GEPP), she is currently researching the interplay of gender equality policy and asylum/migration policy in Austria.
