The preprint Asymptotic safety regions for Gabor frames generated by Hermite functions is available on the arXiv. This is joint work with Irina Shafkulovska and Ilya Zlotnikov.

Vishwa Dewage started her ESPRIT project, Quantum harmonic analysis and applications. She joined the Faculty of Mathematics on August 1. Her project’s duration is 3 years, and I look forward to mentor her throughout the project.

Costanza Lazzeri (U Torino) submitted her master’s thesis, Mathematical principles of graph signal processing
and the role of the uncertainty principle, which she wrote during her ERASMUS stay at the Faculty of Mathematics (U Vienna) and which she will defend on July 22, 2026.

The article On a fundamental barrier of the Wirtinger criterion for Gabor systems with odd functions is available on the arXiv and will be published in Results in Applied Mathematics.

I am happy to welcome Costanza Lazzeri from the University of Torino! She is a student of Prof. Elena Cordero and visits Vienna under the ERASMUS program. She will write (parts of) her master’s thesis under my co-supervision in the next couple of months.
