In diesem Lektüre-Proseminar werden wir die Nietzsche-Interpretion von Gilles Deleuze lesen, die er in seinem frühen Werk Nietzsche und die Philosophie vorgelegt hat. Das Buch ist inzwischen ein Klassiker der zeitgenössischen Nietzscherezeption geworden. Es erlaubt uns einen tiefen Einblick in eine poststruktualistische Lesart von Nietzsche, in seine Konzeption des Willens zur Macht, die Lehre der ewigen Wiederkehr des Gleichen, den Begriff aktiver und reaktiver Kräfte, Nietzsches kritische Einschätzung des Christentums und dessen, was aus ihm hervorgegangen sein wird: Der europäische Nihilismus.
Darüber hinaus soll Sie das Lektüreproseminar mit der Philosophie von Gilles Deleuze bekannt machen. Einem Denker, über den Michel Foucault gesagt hat, dass das 21. Jahrhundert vielleicht deleuzianisch sein wird.
LV-Inhalt (Englisch):
In this Reading-Proseminar we will interpret Gilles Deleuze`s book Nietzsche and Philosophy (Paris 1962). A book of a young philosopher that meanwhile has become one of the most significant readings of Nietzsche at all. Deleuze’s text renders us a profound poststructuralist view on Nietzsches key concepts like the “Will to Power”, the doctrine of The Eternal Return, the notion of Active and Reactive Forces as well as Nietzsche’s critical evaluation of Christianity and European Nihilism.
Above this, the pro-seminar aims to introduce you the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. Michel Foucault once claimed that the 21st century could one day, perhaps, be called Deleuzian.
LV-Ziele:
Einführung in die Philosophien von Friedrich Nietzsche und Gilles Deleuze.
Praktische Übung in Bezug auf die Lektüre komplexer philosophischer Texte, ihre schriftliche Interpretation sowie ihre mündliche Präsentation und Diskussion.

Introduction into the philosophies of Friedrich Nietzsche and Gilles Deleuze.
Learing to read, write, present and discuss different interpretations and views concerning such a philosophical text like „Nietzsche and Philosophie“
LV-Methoden:
Close reading von Deleuzes Text Nietzsche und die Philosophie.
Die Teilnehmer/innen an dem LPS werden aufgefordert, eine Textstelle aus Deleuzes Buch Nietzsche und die Philosophie mündlich zu präsentieren (ca. 20 Minuten, Teamwork möglich).
Die Interpretation der Textpassage und die anschließende Diskussion soll dann auch in schriftlicher Form ausgearbeitet und abgegeben werden. Die vorgelegten Texte werden auf der elearing-Plattform moodle für alle Teilnehmer/innen bereit gestellt.
LV-Methoden (English):
Close reading of Deleuze’s book Nietzsche and Philosophy.
The students participating in this LPS will be required to give a lecture on a selected part of Deleuze’s book Nietzsche and Philosophy (about 20 minutes) and, in addition, submit a written version of the presentation and its discussion afterwards. Team work between several students is appreciated.

(Das Buch wird im Handapparat Böhler im Lesesaal des Instituts bereitgestellt).
Textgrundlage sind auch die im LPS produzierten Texte Ihrer Studentenkolleg/innen, die auf der elearing-Plattform moodle im Laufe des Semesters bereitgestellt werden.
