We finished our 1st field campaign within BASS that took place off Helgoland where we tested the sampling capabilities of Oliver Wurl’s brand new catamaran. For our meta-omics analyses we need ample amounts of seawater. With the remotely controlled catamaran it is possible for the first time to sample up to 10L of fine surface microlayer within one hour.
