The project investigated Jewish political participation and representation as well as manifestations of antisemitism in the Upper Chamber of the Austrian parliament between 1861 and 1918. Biographies and political activity of those members, who belonged to the Jewish community at the time of birth, were researched and archived. Additionally, their parliamentary practices as well as their confrontations with and reactions to antisemitism in the plenum were scrutinized in a discourse-analysis of parliamentary session protocols.
