I am a Postdoc in the Biomathematics group at the University of Vienna working with Emmanuel Schertzer.

Before that, I was a PhD student at Inrae in Avignon and at Aix-Marseille Université, with Raphaël Forien, François Hamel and Lionel Roques. I worked on deterministic models based on the Fisher-KPP equation.

I defended my thesis on 11th June 2025. My dissertation can be found here.

I am a member of the ANR project ReaCH and of the Chaire MMB (Modélisation Mathématique et Biodiversité).

My research interests are:

  • Reaction-diffusion equations
  • Principal eigenvalue of elliptic operators
  • Probabilistic point of view of PDEs
  • Population dynamics
  • Population genetics

Preprints

  • “Time-resolved bottlenecks reveal concurrent pathogen entry and growth during bacterial infection dynamics” (2025),
    S. Vicente, N.B., R. Forien, I. Mila, L. Roques and N. Peeters,
