Distribution of Water on Mars:

The graphs are due to William Feldman of LANL who was and is the coordinator of this project.

The evaluation of these data is based on our "Mars sand experiment" performed at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in the years 1989 to 1991. In this experiment I was a main experimenter and the responsible evaluator. It simulated the Martian conditions in the laboratory and was used as benchmark for testing the computer codes needed for the interpretation of the neutron events returned from the Martian surface.
