DROSG-2000: Neutron Source Reactions
Data files with computer codes for 56 monoenergetic neutron source reactions

!: VERSION 1.0, 1999-12-31: DROSG-2000 supersedes DROSG-96 and DROSG-87.
All iteration routines were changed. They are based now on
physical properties so that no divergence should occur under any
condition. Besides any iteration occurs within about 20 steps
increasing the speed in some cases considerably. No more single
In addition neutron production by (alpha,n) reactions was
1999-08-12: VERSION 2.01 of DROSG-96 generated:
Automatic exit from the WHIYIE energy chain introduced, some error
1999-07-07: VERSION 2.0 of DROSG-96 generated:
1) improved near threshold yield calculations in WHIYIE to give
yields for both energy groups in forward direction
a) normal double-value operation at all lab angles
(CM angle iteration may fail very close to the one-value
b) 0 degree option: input of 180 deg CM gives the yields of
the second zero degree group for ALL projectile energies as
long as the neutron energy is > 1.e-9 MeV.
2) improved tables:
a) cross sections for 3H(p,n)3He below 3.2 MeV include recent
results by BRUNE et al. and below 1.8 MeV a recent
(preliminary) R-matrix solution by HALE.
b) cross section table P7LIGS.KOE for 7Li(p,n)7Be improved
by some interpolated values
c) energy loss in hydrogen extended to lower energies
d) increased number of digits in MASS.TAB
e) edtiting changes in SETYIE.TAB
1997-02-18: Modularity of the code increased by extracting several SUBROUTINES
from lengthy code portions.
!* The package DROSG-2000 distributed by IAEA-NDS consists of 3
!* executable Programs:
!* 1) NEUYIE: Mononenergetic neutron production
!* This program calculates neutron energies and differential cross
!* sections for monoenergetic neutron sources from internal tables
!* of the Legendre coefficients (stored in files *.KOE).
!* For isotopic pure target (and others) it also can calculate the
!* neutron yield using the energy loss tables in the files *.ELS.
!* The neutron yields are given for an energy loss of the projectile
!* that results in a 10 keV neutron energy spread at 0 degree.
!* 2) WHIYIE: White neutron yields from two-body reactions
!* This program calculates thick target yields of white neutron sources
!* that are based on the two-body reactions covered under 1).
!* As an option, a white spectrum ready for plotting is produced.
!* 3) TIMREV: Cross sections and energies of (n,p), (n,d), (n,t) and
!* (n,alpha) reactions are calculated by detailed balance from the time
!* reversed reactions covered under 1).
!* The PROGRAMS are written in FORTRAN which is fully compatible with
!* standard FORTRAN-90. They run under OPEN-VMS or VMS of DEC computers
!* and under MS-DOS on standard PCs when compiled with a LAHEY F77L or a
!* F90 compiler.
!* EXECUTABLES are provided to run under OPEN-VMS (*.exe for VAXes,
!* *.e90 for ALPHAs), under LINUX for PCs and under MS-DOS (NEUTRF77.EXE
!* should run on any standard PC, even without ARITHMETIC COPROCESSOR,
!* NEUTRF90.EXE, the FORTRAN-90 version, requires at least a 386 processor).
!* The FORTRAN-90 versions are about 30% faster.
!* A provision for generating plot files of excitation functions is
!* included, by selecting energies from the cross section tables to
!* avoid iteration errors which tend to occur in cases with a strong
!* structure in the energy dependence of the cross sections.
!* The regular O U T P U T of all three codes is in File FOR002.DAT.
!* It will be overwritten each time.
!* WHIYIE can produce, in addition, a spectrum *.SPC which will be
!* overwritten if the complete filename equals a previous one.
!* FOR001.DAT contains data that may be used for integration over
!* energy and/or angle.
