Kirsten S. Mandl, BSc MSc



I am an osteoarchaeologist and PhD student in Biological Anthropology focussing on taphonomic alterations to human bone in order to using histotaphonomic methods. Since October 2017 I have been an FTE-technician for the Vienna ancient DNA Laboratory in the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology. I am currently also a research partner in “Deploying the Dead – Artefacts and human bodies in socio-cultural transformations” (DEEPDEAD), a HERA Collaborative Research Project (no. 15.055).
