To sum up: In the generational relation between parents and their children an own media space is created by the limited abilities of the children and the rules set up by their parents. In and with this space, parents educate their children according to their own cultural capital. Thus, the term media generation – in the changed meaning – and the term media habitus appear both as appropriate to understand children’s media culture. . They should be understood as complementary concepts.
