Biography

Syntia Hasenöhrl studied Geographical Development Research of Africa at the University of Bayreuth and Global Studies at the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen. Since 2016 she is junior researcher at the Institute for Political Science. She is a member of a DOC-team supported by the ÖAW which is engaged in subject transformation at the interface of mobility and mediality. Her dissertation project examines within this framework the emancipatory potentials that arise from the bargaining of mobile political identities in the transnational space of the Internet for marginalised players.
