Gender research at the University of Vienna is organised in the following Research Groups:
Research Group Gender and Politics
The research group aims at a gender-sensitive theorization of politics, society, economy, and culture.
Research Group Critical State, Governance and Globalization Studies
The research network seeks to contribute to the field of Critical Governance Studies in the context of the current transformation of statehood.
Research Area Gender and Transformation
This research area aims to provide gender-sensitive theories and analyses concerning the contemporary transformation of societies, economies, politics, media and culture.
Research Area Governance, Democracy, Solidarity
This key research area investigates the change of governance in different policy fields, geographical regions and political spaces, as well as the corresponding shift in the form and function of social order, statehood and democracy.
Research Platform Gender and Agency
The research network “Gender and Agency” aims at bringing together scientists at the University of Vienna with a focus on gender studies. It continues ongoing cooperation in the field of gender-research at the University of Vienna and will initiate new disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects, as well as joint research foci.
