Barbara Göbl received her master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Vienna in 2016. Her thesis covered the development and application of Serious Games in anxiety therapy for children.
She will provide input on all technical aspects regarding the project.
Supported by a DOC-team scholarship, she will coordinate development and deployment of the mobile game, including the participatory design process in close collaboration with her colleagues. The game will be designed for both transfer of knowledge as well as to promote reflective use of digital media.
Her research interests are:
- Participatory (Serious) Game Design: serious game design under special consideration and inclusion of prospective user groups and application scenarios.
- (Game) Interface Design: application, development an evaluation of dialog systems (Chatbots) as ways to improve interaction in games.
