Schwerpunkte Lehre
Es sind drei Forschungsgebiete, die Arno Böhler in seiner Lehre am Institut für Philosophie schwerpunktmäßig untersucht und vermittelt:
1) Indische Philosophie: Sāṃkhya-Yoga (Patañjali), Vedānta (Śankara / Deussen), Tantrismus (Abhinavagupta / Kashmir-Shivaismus) u. a.
2) Europäische Geschichte der Philosophie mit Schwerpunkt Dekonstruktion, Poststrukturalismus und Ästhetik (Spinoza, Nietzsche, Derrida, Deleuze, Ronell, Butler u. a.).
3) Philosophie als künstlerische Forschung: Philosophy On Stage, Artistic Research, Arts-based-Philosophy, Performance Philosophy (Laura Cull, Paulo De Assis, Erin Manning, Brian Massumi, Susanne Valerie Granzer, Alice Lagaay u.a.).

Ein besonderes Anliegen seiner Lehre besteht darin, eine junge Generation von kritischen Denker*Innen zu fördern, die bereit sind, sowohl in akademischen als auch in nicht-akademischen Kontexten zu philosophieren, ganz im Sinne von Gilles Deleuzes Einsicht, dass sich die Nicht-Philosophie im Herzen der Philosophie befinde.

In his teaching at the Department of Philosophy, Arno Böhler focuses on three research areas:
1) Indian Philosophy: Sāṃkhya-Yoga (Patañjali), Vedānta (Śankara / Deussen), Tantrismus (Abhinavagupta / Kashmir-Shivaismus) et al.
2) European History of Philosophy with emphasis on deconstruction, poststructuralism and aesthetics (Spinoza, Nietzsche, Derrida, Deleuze, Ronell, Butler et al.).
3) Philosophy as artistic Research: Philosophy On Stage, Artistic Research, Arts-based-Philosophy, Performance Philosophy (Laura Cull, Paulo De Assis, Erin Manning, Brian Massumi, Susanne Valerie Granzer, Alice Lagaay et al.).

One particular concern of his teaching is to support a young generation of critical thinkers, who are prepared to philosophize in academic as well as in trans-academic contexts, fully in the terms of Gilles Deleuze’s insight, that non-philosophy resides in the very heart of philosophy.
