Research

During my career, I have devoted myself to the study of virus evolution with the overarching goal of improving our understanding of viral genome stability as well as virus-host interactions. I have worked in five different laboratories in four different countries, which gave me the opportunity to get to know different working environments and to work with a diverse array of viruses infecting plants, humans, other animals, and protists. This experience has allowed me to build a large international scientific network and to acquire a solid background in genome evolution, experimental evolution and computational molecular evolution.
