C2D3 Funding Historical Sheet Music

I am absolutely thrilled to have received funding for 2025 from the Cambridge Centre for Data-Driven Discovery and Accelerate Programme for Scientific Discovery (made possible by a donation from Schmidt Sciences), as a PI for our project on

AI meets cultural heritage: Non-invasive imaging and machine learning techniques for the reconstruction of degraded historical sheet music

collaborating with the Fitzwilliam Museum, the library of Gonville & Caius College and the Cultural Heritage Imaging Laboratory (Cambridge University Library).

Very excited to work with these departments to image and analyse fascinating old music in more detail!


City of Vienna 2024 Promotion Award

The City of Vienna’s prizes for culture and science have been awarded annually since 1947. In order to give appropriate recognition to young artists and scientists, 13 additional prizes have been awarded each year since 1951. The award is a recognition of the previous artistic and scientific achievements of the prize winners and is intended to encourage them in their future careers

Novel Springer Book Series

I am proud and excited to be the founder and editor of the novel German Springer Book Series “Vielfalt der Mathematik” (Co-Editor Alexandra Edletzberger).

Women of Mathemathics from around the world. A gallery of portraits

I am organising with Alexandra Edletzberger the showing of the international exhibition on Women of Mathematics! Join us for the opening event that will happen on Wednesday October 4th in the SkyLounge at the University of Vienna. The posters of the exhibition will be distributed in lecture halls of the Faculty of Mathematics afterwards.
