Projects and Third Party Funding

  • From Sept. 2011 to Nov. 2014, I conducted a research project of the Austrian Science Fund FWF, whose goal was to study critical fluctuations in solid and hexatic elastic membranes with special focus on the exciting properties of graphene. Detailed information on the scientific topics and results of this project may be found on the project's homepage.
  • Since August 2015, I am conducting another research project of the Austrian Science Fund FWF that deals with the analysis of high pressure phase transitions by Landau theory in combination with DFT. Another major goal of this project is the implementation of the stress tensor in the WIEN2k DFT code that is hosted and maintained by the group of Prof. Peter Blaha at the Institute of Materials Chemistry, where this research is currently carried out. Detailed information on the scientific topics and results of this project may be found on the project's homepage.
