Alexander Hansak


I am a PhD Canditate in economics at the Vienna Graduate School of Economics (VGSE). I have acquired my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics at the University of Graz. My research focuses on topics in macroeconomics in general and inequality, capital taxation and tax evasion in particular. I use quantitative macroeconomic models with heterogeneous agents to assess the impacts of different tax regimes and the presence of tax evasion and avoidance.
In my research I work with different data sets, econometrics, programming and heterogeneous agent models.
