  Superellipsoids

A superellipse is an ellipse with powers $n$ other than $2$:     $ \left(\frac{\textstyle x}{\textstyle a}\right)^{n}+ \left(\frac{\textstyle y}{\textstyle b}\right)^{n}-1 =0 $

By rotating a superellipse around the $y$-axis we obtain a superellipsoid.
