Research project with students started

Thanks to the help of students of last semester’s course in development economics (WS 2013/4) we could start a new research project investigating the role of public servants in the adaption of imported institutions in former African colonies . We will build a data set based on colonial reports, which will need many hours. This would have been impossible with their support. Thanks to Daniela Atanasova, Henrik Hagelskjær, Charlotte Liu, Chloé Sorel and Patricia Zeindl!

I am very thankful to the scholars of the Ronald Coase Institute for their comments and guidance in this research. The financial support of the Austrian Science Found (Project AP23424-G11) is gratefully acknowledged.
