Sophie N. Parragh is full professor and head of the Institute of Production and Logistics Management at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. Sophie received her PhD from the University of Vienna in 2009 and she completed her habilitation in 2016. She worked as a visiting researcher at the CIRRELT, Montreal and as a postdoc fellow at the IBM Center for Advanced Studies in Porto. She won a Hertha Firnberg Postdoc Fellowship (funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF)), she was visiting professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), and she has been involved in several applied and fundamental research projects in OR in health care, production scheduling, field staff routing and scheduling, and multi-objective combinatorial optimization (both as project leader and project collaborator). In March 2017 she was appointed full professor at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. She serves as department editor at OR Spectrum and as associate editor at Transportation Science, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Networks.
