Philipp Budka ist Lektor und Dissertant am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie, Universität Wien.
Budka interessiert sich vor allem für Medienanthropologie, Digitale Anthropologie, Politische Anthropologie, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien, Indigene Medien, Medienaktivismus, Alternative Medien, Soziale Bewegungen, Transnationalismus, Ethnizität, Produktion und Transformation von Wissen, Ethnographie sowie Fussballfankulturen. Er arbeitet und forscht zur Zeit in unterschiedlichen Feldern, wie dem nordwestlichen Ontario, Kanada, diversen Internet-Umgebungen und der Universität Wien. Budka publiziert und präsentiert regelmäßig seine Arbeit und Forschung in Zeitschriften, Büchern und auf Konferenzen.

Philipp Budka is part-time lecturer and PhD candidate with the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna.
Philipp is interested in media technologies, information and communication technologies, Indigenous media, media activism, alternative media, social movements, transnationalism, social and cultural theory, ethnicity, production and transfer of knowledge, ethnography, and football culture. He is currently doing work in a variety of fields such as Northwestern Ontario, Canada, several internet environments, and the University of Vienna, Austria. Philipp is regularly publishing and presenting his work and research in journals, books and at conferences.
