Information concerning the
voluntary presentation of exercises
By presenting the
solution to an exercise on the blackboard you can earn class
participation points that you may substitute for the points you earn on
one of the surprise quizzes.
If you want to
volunteer for a presentation on Friday, you must indicate this wish
already well in advance (i.e. before Wednesday) and make a
reservation for the exercise you want to present (so that fellow students
realize that this exercise is no longer available for presentation). You
can do this by proceeding as follows:
-
First check whether the exercise you want to present is still available
for presentation. You can do so by visiting http://doodle.com/m6ncritrfpe6zkn7 and looking up whether the
exercise is already associated with a fellow student.
If the exercise is still available, make a reservation by
o entering your name and student
ID number into the textbox reading “Ihr Name” respectively “Your
name” at http://doodle.com/m6ncritrfpe6zkn7,
o ticking the number of the
exercise you want to present, and
o pressing the “Save”
respectively “Speichern” button.
You do NOT
have to write me an e-mail, unless you experience difficulties with the
doodle page. I will check the page every Thursday morning to find out
about voluntary presentations. If you make a reservation for an exercise
but do not present ultimately, this will earn you zero points for this
particular presentation. You cannot cancel a reservation. Every student
can only reserve up to two exercises during the whole term. To earn the
maximum number of points for a presentation, the solution must be correct
AND the presentation must be clear and understandable for the general
audience.
