Michael Blamauer

I am teaching at the Department of Philosophy / University of Vienna since 2005. Currently I am working on a research project financed by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) on the panpsychistic impacts of naturalistic dualism. The project was granted for a three-year period (2009-2012).

Systematically I am interested in Philosophy of Mind related topics, especially in questions concerning the phenomenology and metaphysics of consciousness. But I am also interested in classic continental positions on consciousness and metaphysics,  e. g. Descartes, Leibniz, Hume, Kant, German Idealism and Phenomenology.

In the time when I am not absorbed in philosophical issues I am either playing with my sons, Zacharias and Iannis, going to the movies or listening to music - or all together. I am also an aficionado of Fight Sport and Long Distance Running.
