July 15, 2004BlogTalk paper (2)My BlogTalk paper "Are you serious? - The potential and the reality of weblogs as mass media, and why they matter" is now available in a new revised version, which corrects a number of typos and hopefully clarifies some points. In addition, my PowerPoint presentation is now available in PDF format because quite a few people found the QuickTime movie too strange. laura said on July 18, 2004 01:52 AM: Sat. July 17 L.A. Times article, page E18: "Blogging Starts to Pay Off as advertisers see Web potential" -- It's starting to look as if bloggers can make a living from their sites, thanks to an advertising boom. (The article goes on to say that some sites who have signed up with a firm called Blogads, which describes itself as a service connecting bloggers and advertisers, are clearing as much as $3,000 to $5,000 a month.) Hey--might as well get reimbursed for those Manner Wafers product placements. |
