Bundesanstalt für Wassergüte (Federal Institute for Water Quality, 1993): Effect assessment of the Grander device "water vitalization 380" (U.V.O.) on tested waters. Report to the Austrian Consumer Protection Society, 1993-06-25.

Summary:

"According to the test results, no detoxicating effects of the device 'water vitalisation 380' could be found."

The device "water vitalisation 380" (Grander distributor U.V.O., Seefeld, Tyrol, Austria) was tested for its detoxicating effect on water. Water samples containing different concentrations of potassium dichromate were tested for Daphnia toxicity directly and after being treated with the Grander device according to the national ÖNORM M 6264 standards. The water "before Grander treatment" and "after Grander treatment" did not show any statistically significant difference of their ecotoxicological effect. The device "water vitalisation 380" therefore does not possess any proven effect on the tested water.

Evaluation:

This test was performed at the Austrian Federal Institute for Water Quality by certified experts. It was methodically well done according to the national ÖNORM standards - and in accordance to the distributor company UVO (quote: "It was agreed upon to test the effect by means of Daphnia toxicity"). Grander water has no detoxicating effect. All other claims, such as previously stated by Grander representatives (Quote: "According to representatives of Grander distributor U.V.O., the device "water vitalisation 380" detoxicates contaminated water") are wrong.
