This is the webpage of Clemens Bruschek . Please contact me in case you find illegal or reprehensable content on this site (see the contact box to the left).

What do you have to expect from this page? The content is roughly the following: In the Mathematics section I put online private notes, programs, animations, howtos etc.. There might be errors! In case you find one, I would be grateful if you could point it out to me. The link Alexandria will take you to the webpage of the Alexandria Project. Its aim is to collect information on various topics in mathematics in form of open source lecture notes, seminar reports, maple/mathematica worksheets or programs. Emulating the famous ancient library of Alexandria it should serve people trying to find in short time templates for their own lectures or work. In PC Howtos you will find a number of howtos I created during my apprenticeship with Linux. They are nothing special, but prove quite useful every time I reinstall all my operating systems. The Gallery contains some of my most favorite picture series, starting with Mountainbiking and finishing with some "hidden faces". Finally with My Links I try to create a place where I can hoard all my favorite websites, sheltered from any system failures or mistakes during reinstallation.

About Me

My name is Clemens Bruschek and I'm currently employed as a research assistant in mathematics at the University of Vienna. I'm participating in the FWF-project P21461 of Herwig Hauser and the FWF-ANR-project I382 of Bernhard Lamel. Both projects are settled in the area of algebraic and analytic geometry with special focus on their interactions with commutative algebra and CR-geomtry. This involves especially the theory of jet and arc spaces as well as the general study of polynomial rings in countable many indeterminates. Apart from these topics my personal mathematical interests lie also in more applied fields like financial mathematics and algorithms (online algorithms and algorithmic game theory).
