How to get to the Faculty Centre of Biodiversity
The centre [formerly called Insitute of Botany and Botanical Garden ("Botanisches Institut und Botanischer Garten der Universität Wien")] is located in Vienna's third district, not far from the city centre - see MAP which also shows public transportation: red lines: street car (tram) (nr. 71 runs past the Institute); thin blue lines: buses; heavy blue line: "S-Bahn" (rapid train) or take your mouse over the aerial photo below
Find out when I am absent for longer periods of time
Please check the calendar below in which longer absences ( field trips, congresses, symposia, etc.) are marked.
Color coding: red - dates definite; orange - in advanced planning state; yellow - in early planning state.

Please use Google to find accomdation that suits you (3, 4, 5 star hotel, pension, private room, etc). Several hotels are in the immediate vicinity of the Faculty Centre, but all of these tend to be in the higher price category.
