My Research
My work focuses on the morphological, kinematical and spectrophotometric
evolution of galaxies on cosmic timescales.
These observational studies encompass all types of galaxies -
early- and late-types; galaxies with and galaxies without an
Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN) -
in a wide variety of environments from the field
to groups and clusters. My aim
is to quantify the evolution of fundamental galaxy
parameters such as luminosity, size, mass, or mean stellar age,
as a function of cosmic time. This allows to test the predictions of numerical
simulations within the framework of the cold dark matter hierarchical
scenario, and, in turn, the hierarchical scenario itself.
