„The Rise and Fall” bezieht sich auf einen Bewegungs- oder Entwicklungsverlauf bestimmter geschichtlicher Ereignisse – „The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire“ oder „The Rise and Fall of the VHS tape“, ebenso wie „The Rise and Fall of Hosni Mubarak“. Im Englischen wird „rising” bzw. „falling” aber auch verwendet, um das allmorgendliche Aufstehen („rising out of bed in the morning“) bzw. >>>
