From April 2007 until now I photographed the Alpha-stars (and some prominent exceptions) of the northern constellations. I used the following equipment: ASA 8" f/2,75 Newton-astrograph on Vixen GP-DX and Starlight Express SXV-H9 CCD-camera with Astronomik RGB-filters Typ 2c. I exposed RGB each 2x 2 min. and so reached stars fainter than 15m0. The field of view is about 55 x 40 arc minutes. The size of the photos is reduced to about 70% for the web.
