1985 - 1991: Research Assistant at the Department for Econometrics, Operations Research, and Systems Theory, Technical University of Vienna, with the following two exceptions:
1987: Civil service at the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (8 months)
1989: Postdoc at the Faculty of Management, University of Toronto, (one year)
1991 - 1999: Assistant Professor respectively Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Vienna, with the following exception:
1996 - 1997: Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics, McGill University, and Visiting Researcher at CIRANO in Montreal (one year),
1999 - 2003: Professor at the Department of Economics at Queen Mary, University of London,
2003 until now: Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Vienna.
