Globe Gores

My toolkit works best with imagery prepared for globes, but also with other maps. The imagery is split ("tesselated") along the coordinate grid, which should be reasonably dense to not show too much curvature between faces. If a map comes without grid, you must overlay one yourself. I have used mostly globe gores and other maps found on the web and in books. I have also a partial globe made from photos, but they are not (yet) free for publication here.

WebGL toolkits used

In order to see the globes, you need OpenGL SE support, i.e. "real" graphics hardware (NVidia, ATI/AMD, Intel HD2000/HD3000 or better), current graphics drivers, and a good webbrowser such as Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome.
