Astronomy Online 1996

Georg ZOTTI
Österreichischer Astronomischer Verein
Vienna, Austria

Since about 1980, I have been very interested in astronomy and space exploration. In 1988, Professor Mucke offered me a honorary position as assistant guide at Vienna Urania public observatory. After school, I started studies of electrical engineering, but have changed now to computer sciences. Astronomy is still my main hobby, but I am more interested in archeo- and ethnoastronomy, old maps and books and historical and philosophical aspects than in astrophysics. I also like to observe the real sky with my own eyes.

I have two major items to offer for the event:

Urania/48

A very complete astronomical software package for the Hewlett-Packard HP 48 Pocket Calculator.

Daylight observation of Venus

A short report and instructions.
